This film, Speaking in Tongues, makes an inventory of language splits. Speaking backwards, singing nursery rhymes, listening to radio stations from all over the world, conversing with several people in different idioms, elucidating logogriphs, handling a machine to encode messages, translating your speech into sign language, doing calligraphy, singing in Esperanto, praying in tongues, improvising an imaginary chatter, are some of the actions of this odd encyclopedia.
